Meet The Team – Ryan Morris
Ryan has worked for Andrew for the last 7 years and has grown in confidence, talent and skill in all aspects of hairdressing. If you want the perfect highlight Ryan is your man. He is an exceptional colourist and his endearing customer rapport has ensured him as a firm favourite with our guests.
How long have you been hairdressing?
I’ve been doing hairdressing for 12 years.
If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?
If I got arrested it would probably be sticking up for my friends, the family would think I had been done for being drunk and disorderly.
What is your favourite product on the retail shelf and why?
Awapuhi wild ginger treatment oil because it quenches parched hair and smoothes frizz, leaving strands soft, silky and shiny. You can use it on towel-dried hair or dry hair to give you a smooth finish.
Which body part do you wish you could detach and why?
I would detach my feet, I’ve got a big phobia of people’s feet.
If someone asked to be your apprentice and learn all that you know, what would you teach them?
I would teach them about face shapes, what styles would suit different face shapes, as it’s vital to get the correct style for the guest.
As a child, which film did you secretly wish you played a role in and why?
Would have to be Mary Poppins, I always wanted to fly away under her umbrella.
If you were not hairdressing, what job would you do?
It would probably be working with dogs, doing dog walking, or looking after people’s animals for when they go away.
Describe your perfect first date?
A perfect first date would have to include great conversation. Without good conversation there is little if any base for any sort of relationship to start.
Who is your secret celebrity crush and why?
Jamie Dornan would be my secret celebrity crush, he can show me all his fantasy’s from 50 shades of grey.
If you were a pudding, what would you be and why?
Treacle pudding, as it’s sweet and tasty.
